Research Interests

My research interests have focused on immunochemistry and designing macromolecular binding reactions for either clinical diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. Currently, as part of the Center for Innovation in Global Health Technologies (CIGHT), I am focusing on developing rapid immunoassays to screen for HIV in children younger than 18 months who live in resource limited settings. The goal is to deliver clinical laboratory quality test results in an easy to use format and at a cost compatible with developing world markets.
